Just a few updates for this weekend! May 30th will be Memorial Day and because we ship via USPS (which doesn’t run on Memorial Day), packages ordered over the weekend will not be shipped out until Tuesday morning. However, our customer service team is still here to answer any of your questions even through the long weekend. Of course, there are no ordering delays; the site will be up and running as usual.
Other News: We finally hit our 50-likes mark on Facebook and will be starting our Facebook Photo Contest on June 1st! We’re working on all of the details and prizes right now! Stick with us a few more days to submit your photos!
As always, feel free to email us at: email@example.com if you have any questions! Thanks!
Recently, Dave mentioned Wide Open Tees in one of his video blogs. We’re really honored and happy he enjoyed what we’re all about — enough to mention us! 🙂 Check it out in the video below. For those who are interested in picture styles, this review/comparison is great.
Special thanks to Dave Dugdale for working with us on these shirts! Check out the last blog post for more information about him and what type of work he does! Hope everybody enjoys the new shirts!
So we sold out of a couple of shirts already and will introduce the two shirts below to our line soon! Many thanks to the very talented Dave Dugdale of Learning DSLR Video for the idea of the shirts. Like we said from the beginning, we’re not out to make a quick buck. We love connecting with photographers and the photography community. Fortunately enough, we were lucky enough to chat a bit with Dave. If you don’t know who he is, you should! He creates amazing tutorials and teaches all types of photographers about DSLRs, lenses, bodies, filming, post production, and so much more! Even our in-staff photographers have learned a thing or two (or 17) about becoming a better photographer through Dave. Here are a couple of quotes floating around the office about him and his channel:
“He’s down to earth. Not everyone can afford a 70-200mm IS, so that review won’t do me any good. He puts together great stuff that helps all types of shooters and most importantly, they’re realistic for the average shooter!”
“When I started watching him, it felt like I was learning how to use a DSLR with him. Made me feel much more comfortable than other pros bragging about how expensive their cameras are.”
“I’ve been in photography for almost 10 years now. I still get little tidbits from his videos that help me shoot better. Can’t beat his tutorials. He seems like a genuine guy from his videos.”
We have all types of photographers working in our office, from beginners to lomographers to pros. All of whom have benefited from his tutorials and reviews. Check out his sites below! We’ll be releasing the two new shirts in the next blog post! Check back soon!

Our first contest on POTN forums has come to an end! We received lots of great entries, and after a tough decision, we’ve decided on one photo that represented this contest’s theme (FUN) extremely well. So without further ado, the winning photo by Matthew Ippolito!
About the Photographer and Photograph:
Shot with Canon 7D, 24-70L, F2.8, 1/2000. Not a professional by any means, but slowly learning by lots of reading POTN forums and lots of practice.
I’m always chasing my son around the camera, but got extremely lucky with this shot. It was right place/right time, with Aidan’s priceless expression and the two bubbles that centered over his eyes. I love having taken this both as a photographer and as a dad!
Great photo, Matthew. The expression, composition, and the overall theme is represented extremely well. Congrats and enjoy your 2 shirts from Wide Open Tees!
